Evotech Technical Services Wins Prestigious ASHRAE UK Technology Award for Innovative HVAC Optimisation Solutions
2 Apr 2026
Evotech Technical Services has been awarded the 2026 Technology Award for ‘Innovative HVAC Optimisation Solutions’ at the ASHRAE UK Building Services Exhibition & Technology Awards 2026, held at Loughborough University on Friday 27 March 2026.
The award, which recognises “Outstanding Results and Application in Their Professional Field”, was presented for Evotech’s proprietary myBEMS Remote HVAC Optimisation solution, a scalable and intelligent platform designed to optimise HVAC performance, reduce energy consumption and enhance operational resilience across complex building portfolios.
Originally developed by Evotech four years ago, myBEMS has since been extensively deployed and rigorously tested across a broad range of commercial environments. This sustained programme of real-world application has consistently demonstrated measurable energy savings in the region of 20-30 per cent per annum, delivering both immediate cost efficiencies and long-term performance improvements. These proven outcomes have established myBEMS as a trusted and results-driven solution for organisations seeking to accelerate their journey towards net zero.
The platform integrates seamlessly with existing Building Management Systems, providing real-time visibility and control of HVAC systems and associated plant. Through the application of advanced analytics, automated optimisation and continuous commissioning, myBEMS enables facilities teams to improve system performance, enhance occupant comfort and extend asset lifecycles, whilst simultaneously reducing energy use and carbon emissions. Its sophisticated reporting functionality supports compliance and ESG objectives by delivering clear, actionable insights, whilst embedded predictive maintenance capabilities help to identify faults early, minimise downtime and reduce operational risk.
The ASHRAE UK Technology Awards are organised by ASHRAE, a globally respected authority in building services engineering. ASHRAE plays a central role in shaping international standards, advancing sustainable design and promoting best practice across HVAC, refrigeration and energy systems. Its technical frameworks underpin much of the industry’s approach to decarbonisation and high-performance buildings, making its awards a recognised benchmark of technical excellence and innovation.
In today’s facilities management landscape, where decarbonisation, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance are paramount, ASHRAE’s guidance remains highly influential. Its standards address building performance, indoor environmental quality and the transition to net-zero carbon operations, reinforcing the importance of solutions that can deliver tangible and verifiable outcomes at scale.
John Lumb, Building Performance Director at Evotech Technical Services, says: “We are delighted to receive this recognition from ASHRAE. This award reflects the expertise, innovation and dedication of our team, as well as the strength of the results we have achieved with myBEMS over the past four years. Delivering consistent energy savings of 20 to 30 per cent across commercial buildings provides clear evidence of the value our solution brings to clients. As the industry continues to evolve towards smarter, more sustainable buildings, we are proud to be at the forefront of that transformation.”
Evotech Technical Services delivers specialist engineering and facilities management solutions across the UK, supporting organisations in improving building performance, reducing energy consumption and achieving long-term operational efficiency. This recognition further strengthens Evotech’s position as a leading provider of intelligent, data-driven building services solutions, helping clients to meet both their sustainability ambitions and operational performance objectives.
